Fun Things to Do in A Shitty Overpriced Wisconson Resort

AKA: Fun Things to Do in A Hotel Room Part Two

So this week I had the misfortune of staying at the Grand Geneva in one of their timeshare condos. Fortunately, my cousin Jeremy, awesome Indie rocker and one of my closest friends, was there with me. So to keep interested, we engaged in all of the following activities, many mildly subversive:

Build a Fort-

Yeah, so its not so subversive. Not especially mature either. But we built it for my other cousin, Jeremy's six year-old brother. Yep. Definitely for him. Not so a pair of 17 year-olds could make a sweet rockin' awesome fort for themselves. No siree. But it was most definitely a rockin' awesome fort, complete with secret passages and such.

Steal Internet-

The jerks at this overpriced hotel wanted to charge an extra 40 cents a minute (minimum 6 dollar per usage) for access to the internet in their "Business Center." But we weren't going to take that. Using our 1337 Ninja skills we snuck into the hotel with out laptop and got situated and leeched their wi-fi internet. Teach them not to make it so you need a password or something to get on it if only the Lodge residents are supposed to use the Wi-Fi. Suckers.

Midnight Golfcourse Caligraphy-

(Doesn't that sound like an awesome album name or something?) Wandering the overpriced golf course at 1 in the morning is fun. Lots of fun. Especially when their riduculous high-powered sprinklers suddenly turn on and close in from all sides. And especially especially when you stumble upon their sandpits and write midly discouraging things in them. Things like "Golf is for Corporate Drones" or "F**K Censorship." Yeah. Its not overly subversive, but its certainly entertaining.

Nightswimming-

You'd think in these overpriced type resorts they'd have something like an all-night pool. Nope. Two of the three pools close at 11, one of them closes at 9. Unfortunately for them, the pool that closes at 9 is the closest to us, accessible while locked by reaching through the gate and opening it, and practically invisible to those passing by. 3 in the morning is a great time for random swims.

As you can tell we were really really bored. Really ridiculously bored. And I am so glad to be back home with actual internet access.
